About RadioShortlist

What is RadioShortlist?

RadioShortlist compares emergency radios, NOAA weather alert radios and walkie talkies. The goal is a quick decision you can defend: what a radio does when the power is out, what it needs to keep running, and which stores can deliver it to you.

How we work

• Specs come from the maker: product pages, manuals and spec sheets. We link the source.
• We do not run lab tests, and we never say we did. Where a number is a claim by the maker, such as range or battery life, we label it as a claim.
• The order on each shortlist comes from a published formula: emergency features, picks by independent testers, and how often people search for a model.
• Prices come only from the maker's own US store, with the date we checked them. Amazon prices change too often to show, so Amazon links carry no price.

The full method is on the methodology page.

Stores that deliver to you

Not every store ships everywhere. Midland's own store, for example, ships within the US only. We show the stores that deliver to the country you shop from, and you can change that country at the top of every page.

Independence and funding

Using RadioShortlist costs nothing. Some links are affiliate links: buy through one and the store may pay us a commission. Your price stays the same, and commissions do not decide the order. Details are in the affiliate disclosure and the privacy policy.

Who is behind it?

RadioShortlist is part of the Shortlist family of comparison sites, run by Orai Media, a company based in the Netherlands that builds independent comparison and advice sites.
