Frequently asked questions
Do both radios work with repeaters?
Yes. Midland lists 8 repeater channels with split tones on the Midland GXT67 PRO. BTECH lists repeater support with split tones on the BTECH GMRS-PRO as well. Both are 5-watt GMRS radios so both require a GMRS license. Repeater access itself depends on the repeater owner in your area.
What does Bluetooth add on the BTECH GMRS-PRO?
BTECH uses Bluetooth for app programming from a phone and for off-grid text messaging between radios. It also pairs with GPS location sharing so group members can share positions. The Midland GXT67 PRO has no Bluetooth or GPS. It relies on voice and NOAA alerts only.
